Fused glass with a semicolon

SKU: sc-001
Project semicolon fused glass
Last year my son Luke committed suicide. He was 26 years old and spent most of his life in a battle with depression and began to drink at a young age seeking a peace that would not come. After his death I taught myself to create fused glass containing cremation ash. My husband read about the semicolon tatoo that thousands of people were having done as a symbol of surviving suicide. It also honors the people who did not survive suicide. I do not have tatoos so I created the semicolon in glass for others who love the symbolism and do not want a tatoo.
From Facebook page of the Project Semicolon-
"This began in the spring of 2013, when Project Semicolon Founder, Amy Bleuel wanted to honor her father whom she lost to sui...cide. Through the semicolon symbol many related to the struggle of depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide and their will to continue on. The title, “Project Semicolon,” also represented a goal – to believe that this is not the end but a new beginning."
