I'd Give Anything

My life has changed since you're not here

I'd give anything just to see your face

That smile that used to light a room

Your little things around the place

I'd stay awake a thousand nights

Just to listen to you snore

Turn a million cartwheels

To hear your key unlock the door

I'm standing in an empty room

Expecting to hear you call my name

Then the realisation dawns

I know my life will never be the same

I'd give anything to be in your arms

To breathe deeply 'The smell of you'

If I could have just one more moment

There's nothing I wouldn't do

People tell me time will heal

It's not what I want to hear

Because all I want with all my heart

Is for you to be right here..

About the Author
My name is Mary G and I love writing poems for people who are going through the grieving process. I am a trained counsellor and have also tasted grief. I have a firm faith that I will see my loved ones again one day and believe that our death is as much a process of our life as our birth. I know that God is good and will be there for us when we are at our lowest ebb...whether we ask or not... he is our loving Father in heaven and knows each and every one of us and shares in all of our pains and sufferings. I also run a facebook page'Love For All' and write free poems to support people in their grief. All poems © Mary G - Love For All
