Adult grief support programs are offered for a limited number of weeks throughout the year. Each one offers practical and spiritual encouragement for people grieving the death of a person: All are welcome to attend regardless of church affiliation or membership

• Walking Through Grief® is a grief seminar/support group which discusses common issues facing grieving adults that have had a loss due to death. This program is designed to provide the tools needed to help navigate through the grieving process. You will find encouragement, comfort and help in grieving the death of a spouse, child, parent, sibling, other family member or friend.

• Widowed Seminar/Support Group discusses topics which are unique to those whom have had a spouse or life partner die. Topics vary and are different than those of the general group. It is suggested that this group be attended as an addition to Walking Through Grief®.

First United Church of McKinney provides non-denominational  support and guidance to both our groups. We are thankful for the support our church provides and encourage you to visit but our goal is to walk with you through your journey, not to change your beliefs. Some of you may have turned to God for comfort, some may be angry with God and some of you may question the very existence of God. All are very normal responses to grief and all are welcome.
