Summary of groups:
Grief Education is an educational event open to anyone who has lost a loved one. In each meeting, a different topic is presented relating to the grief process. Topics vary from "Self Care For Grieving People" to "Coping with the Holidays."
A 4-week, educational and supportive group for adults who have experienced a death loss within the last three months. This group provides a safe place for grieving people to discover that they are not alone in their grief and to share support and ideas for coping.
A 6-week support group for adults interested in exploring creative tools such as collage, painting, drawing, and sculpting to work through their grief. Art-making provides a strong container for the grief experience and can help facilitate the expression of thoughts and feelings that words cannot capture or convey.
A 6-week, structured support group for adults ready to explore their loss more deeply. Weekly topics address the needs of grieving people. Participants connect to the universality of the grief experience and learn to honor their own particular style of grieving. Group members should allow at least three months from their loss before starting this group.
A 4-week group that addresses the special needs and concerns of parents who have lost an adult child. Group members should allow at least three months from their loss before starting this group.
A 4-week group for people 45 and under who have lost a partner or spouse. This group provides a forum for participants to share the challenges that they have encountered and the coping skills that they have developed as a younger person relearning how to live in the world after a spouse’s or partner’s death.
Losing a loved one can be one of the most difficult experiences in your life. Your grief is both an expression of your love and the natural process through which you heal your pain.
At times the grief process offers challenges that respond best to individual support. Our counselors are trained to understand what you're going through and can help you focus on what matters most to you.
