Sacred Journey is the centerpiece mutual support program of The Grief Project. The program features Widowed Gatherings and an annual Weekend Retreat; utimately The Grief Project will sponsor Sacred Journey Bereavement Support Groups and Family Camps. We welcome everyone that has experienced the loss of a spouse, significant other or life partner - no matter how long ago or how short a time since your loss - we are here for you. We are all widowed and we have all taken the journey of loss and transformation. Join us to relax, renew, learn, connect with other widowed and be pampered - body and soul.
Sacred Journey Gatherings are opportunities for retreat participants and other widowed people to come together to build community together and network, enjoy social support, education, and experience a variety of learning sessions.
Gatherings are typically held in the Twin Cities on Saturdays and include time for socializing, enjoying delicious food, listening to a speaker, participating in an art project, and sharpening skills around such topics as healthy self-care, financial management, home repairs, supporting children on their own grief journey, and other topics and activities identified by Sacred Journey members.
Gatherings are free to attend and the annual retreat is always a reasonable cost. We offer scholarships for those in need. For more information, see our website at www.griefproject.org.
