Many grief groups provide an environment for you to verbalize the thoughts and feelings you're experiencing following a loss. While there is definitely a benefit to that kind of expression, it often is not enough. Talking about how you feel does not necessarily transform or "complete" the unfinished emotional business that is attached to the loss. The Grief Recovery Method program is designed to guide you through a series of actions to verbalize your feelings, and then to help you transform the pain associated with those feelings. There are brief reading assignments each week and other homework to help you delve deeply into your own history with loss and grief.
Because this isn't a drop-in style support group, we ask participants to commit to attending all seven sessions. If an emergency arises and you miss a session, we will email you the homework assignment so you can jump back in the next week.
