A Healing Journey/Support Group for Those Bereaved by Suicide Loss

We believe that grief can be a growing experience. This is a safe and compassionate environment, where those bereaved can seek comfort amongst peers.
Mission
The goal of this support group, is to create a safe environment where the group members share openly with, learn from, and support one another.
Dear Friend,
Did someone you love die by suicide? He/She made a decision that has affected your life forever. It is very difficult for us when someone we love dies. Things can be very complicated and confusing when that death occurred as a decision to take their own life. It is shocking, confusing, overwhelming and can create feelings of shame and guilt. This special support group is an opportunity for us to come together and share, gain insight and understanding into our grief that comes about as a result of suicide. The group is open to adults (18 years or older).
The group will gather the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month from 6:30-8:30 PM. The group will be facilitated by Evelyn Mueller (Ev), a Support Group Facilitator with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention- Maryland Chapter. Evelyn facilitates groups, and is also a Peer Counselor for the Suicide Outreach Program (SOP). Ev has lost a family member to suicide and is also a person with lived experience.
This support group is a safe place and a special time to talk to and learn from each other.
